Bad Boy - Quiz
In Bad Boy, Chapter 22, Jason's presented with a quiz he needs to solve in order to collect the next clue in his pursuit of the stolen Elgar collection. The quiz is given to him by Basil, who suggests it came from a transatlantic ocean liner in the distant past. Passengers were instructed to complete the quiz to their best ability, and then drop off their answers at the Purser's Bureau. That quiz is based on a real quiz, which I saved from my own transatlantic crossing aboard the Empress of England in the summer of 1968. I was thirteen years old and gave up after only being able to answer ten out of the thirty-six questions. (In fairness, I was probably seasick, and therefore had no intention of spending the day in the ship's library hunting through a dictionary.)
The quiz is on the Bad Boy website here. (look under Snapshots for "Star Sapphire")
